Reduced Fees for Spay/Neuter in February

Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI) is teaming up with 26 local veterinarian clinics to help pet owners get their pets spayed or neutered at a reduced fee during the month of February, the traditional month of love. This annual effort is open to all pet owners regardless of income. Pets that are spayed or neutered tend to live longer, be healthier, and have fewer behavior problems like spraying, biting and running away.

"I can't think of a better way for owners all across central Indiana to demonstrate the love they feel for their pet than to have them spayed or neutered," said SNSI Executive Director, Judy Harvey. "With literally tens of thousands of unwanted pets destroyed every year at local animal shelters, it's never been more important for pet owners to have their pets altered. This partnership with local veterinarians during the month of February makes it possible to reduce the number of unwanted pets, and consequently the number who are eventually euthanized each year."

Pet owners who would like to take advantage of SNSI's reduced surgical fee program must pick up a hot pink certificate at Marion County Libraries, various surrounding libraries, by request at 317.788.6330, or at SNSI's Web site www.spayneuterservices.org. Participating vets, which are located throughout Central Indiana, are listed on the reduced fee certificate. Veterinarian calendars fill up fast, so please call as soon as possible.
