Teachers Interested in Kindness Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI) sponsors classrooms from kindergarten through grade six for subscriptions to KIND News. This is a paper published by the Humane Society of the United States to promote kindness to animals, each other and the environment. Class sets of 32 are mailed to teachers from September to May. SNSI is looking for teachers who would like subscriptions to this educational newspaper. SNSI will pay the fee. The order deadline is June 1, 2004. Call 317-861-4007 to leave your name, school name and address, phone number, and number of sets, plus the grade level. Each month's newsletter gives elementary students articles, puzzles, and projects that teach them the importance of giving. "By teaching kids to value life and the things around them, they in turn will become more responsible and caring adults," said Judy Harvey, Co-President. "We want to educate as many kids as possible that they can make a difference. Something as simple as teaching them how to properly treat animals, can help to save many future pets from euthanasia, abuse, and neglect." If you would like to read more about KIND News, how to adopt a classroom, or have your classroom sponsored, please contact SNSI by visiting us at www.spayneuterservices.org/education.htm. Founded in 1977, Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana, Inc. is dedicated to help end pet overpopulation in Indiana by providing affordable options to spay-neuter surgeries. Centrally located in Indianapolis, SNSI consists of volunteers who work on behalf of the many unwanted and neglected animals in this state. ### |
