Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI) is once again sponsoring teachers in the Adopt-A-Teacher program. Each month from September through May, adopted teachers will receive 32 copies of the KIND News newspaper as well as a teacher’s guide. The program, published by The National Association for Humane and Environmental Education (NAHEE), teaches children respect, responsibility, and compassion for animals, the environment, and each other. Hurry! Your subscriptions must be received by May 15, 2006.
Each month’s newsletter gives elementary students articles, puzzles, and projects that teach them the importance of giving. “By teaching kids to value life and the things around them, they in turn will become more responsible and caring adults,” said Judy Harvey, President. “We want to educate as many kids as possible so they can make a difference. Something as simple as teaching them how to properly treat animals, can help to save many future pets from euthanasia, abuse, and neglect.”
With
the help of donations and fundraisers, SNSI was able to offer 284 subscriptions
to schools in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. If you would like
